Matthew Lloyd Architects, project at St. Pauls’ Church, Old Ford, which won the RICS Community Benefit Award redefines how the church can survive and sustain itself while offering a variety of uses to serve a modern, urban, multi-cultural community.

The Commendation was for St. Pauls’ Old Ford which included a four storey steel framed structure, dubbed ‘the ark’ inserted within the west end of the church. Clad in tulipwood, the ark allows the chancel to be retained at its original scale.
