Matthew Lloyd Architects are an award winning and client-centred RIBA Chartered Practice, based in Shoreditch, East London. We specialise in helping our client achieve successful planning outcomes on challenging sites.  We create sensitive, innovative, contextual architecture in London settings. We work in the housing, faith, workspace, education, health and community sectors, often in a mix of uses on one site. We are contextual architects: our buildings are grounded in their unique place, both in terms of the people who derive meaning from them, and their local character, setting and history. We help to make safe, friendly places to live, work and visit, aiming for generous and uplifting spaces where people can fulfil their potential. We design to make dwellings well proportioned, with good natural daylight and privacy, observing and reinforcing street patterns and clearly defining open space for natural surveillance.                                       We value and facilitate meaningful collaboration and engagement with local residents and stakeholders. We are skilled in housing design and place-making, both newbuild and refurbishment. The three partners maintain a close involvement in all projects: our experienced team offers in-depth, time-served skills, and a genuine desire to direct our services to meet the wishes of our clients.
